His sister Kayla wrote: "Justin was my best friend, my hero and my big brother. He always wanted to be famous and accomplished this by working for the Hillstrand Brothers on the F/V Time Bandit. His grandmother wrote: "He loved life and lived it as he said it. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Nichols Jobe, in 1983, and first cousin and best friend, Jeramy Russell, in 1992. Tennison is survived by his daughter, Dakota Tennison son, Carter Tennison sister, Kayla Tennison grandparents, Mike and Linda Tennison father, Preston Jobe niece, Kristina Woolsey nephew, Codey Woolsey and many other family in Alaska, Oklahoma and Texas. His dream was to work on a large fishing vessel, which was fulfilled two years ago when he got on the F/V Time Bandit. He worked in Washington state, tried the oil field of Oklahoma and tried his hand at being a cowboy in Texas with his birth father, but he always came home to Alaska. Tennison left Alaska several times throughout his adult life to pursue different fields of work. He worked many different jobs after high school, but his first love was fishing. His grandparents Mike and Linda Tennison adopted Justin and Kayla and raised them in the Anchor Point and Homer area. There his mother passed away one week later of cancer. ![]() In April of 1983 he came to Anchor Point with his mother and little sister, Kayla. Tennison was born March 27, 1977, in Stillwater, Okla., to Preston and Nancy Nichols Jobe. Justin was cremated on and committed to the deep in the Bering Sea by the Time Bandit crew.
